Although I mostly photograph people and love the fun I have being able to interact with whoever is in front of my lens, sometimes there’s nothing better than a building exterior. No movement to worry about. No need to think about keeping conversation interesting while my brain is buzzing with fstopshutterspeedfocallengthflashmeterreadingcompositionlight… breathing. Yes, more and more I’m really enjoying photographing architecture.
This was the third time I’ve photographed one of Doncaster BMW’s showrooms, but the brief for this one was a little different. ‘Show that we do service aswell’. I took a couple of test shots before settling on this angle, then it was just waiting for the right light.
