Growing up I was always interested in the art of storytelling. At a young age I was obsessed with reading books. Goosebumps, Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, I couldn’t get enough. The years went on and I turned my attention to Film and TV. I began breaking my favourite movies down, trying to figure out why and how they worked. I listened to every DVD directors commentary I could get my hands on and watched every behind the scenes documentary.
After high school I studied Film and TV Production at university and this is where I learned the technical aspects of filmmaking. During my time at university I made countless short films and music videos, some of them great, some of them not so great but all of them taught me something new.
After uni I started working with some friends in the music industry shooting live bands and music videos. I developed a real love and appreciation for the post production process. I got so much joy out of cutting a film and seeing it all come together (and problem solving when it didn’t).
So that’s me! I’m still making films today and always learning. Just a big film nerd who is totally in love with the film making process and excited to be working at MDP Photography & Video, putting my skills into practice & learning more along the way.
